treatment of a biological fluid comprising :

a first container for holding a biological fluid and a
photochemical agent during a photoactivation treatment, wherein
said container is made of a material that is substantially
translucent to light in the photoactivating wavelength range;

a second container for receiving at least said biological
fluid from said first container wherein said second container is
integrally connected to said first container;

an openable flow path between said first and second
containers ;

a container #e^? temporarily holding said with a

photochemical agent temporarily contained therein ;— a^d

an openable flow path between said first container and said
container holding with said photochemical agent ; and

an adsorbent material for removing at least one or both of
excess photochemical agent and photoactivation by-products from
said biological fluid .

26. (Currently Amended) The disposable fluid processing set of
Claim — ^ Claim 25 wherein said adsorbent material for removing
at least one or both of said excess photochemical agent and said
photoactivation by-product is housed within said second
container .

27. (Previously Presented) The disposable fluid processing set
of Claim 26 further comprising a third container for receiving
said biological fluid from said second container and an openable
flow path between said second and third containers.

28. (Currently Amended) The disposable fluid processing set of
Claim — 2-4r Claim 25 wherein said adsorbent material for removing
said photochemical agent and said photoactivation by-products
from said biological fluid is housed within a flow-through
device that is in flow communication with and located between
said first and second containers.

Claim — 24- Claim 25 wherein said adsorbent material is contained
within a semipermeable pouch housed within said second
container.

Claim 24 Claim 25 wherein said container for temporarily holding
said photochemical agent comprises an overwrap impermeable to
light of a selected wavelength.

set of Claim 3 7 wherein said overwrap is impermeable to light in
the UVA wavelength range.

material that is substantially translucent to photoactivating
light in the UVA range.
